Friends of Ashton Court Estate?

There is no community group currently associated with the estate. This page is here to see if there is any interest in setting a Friends of Ashton Court Estate group up.

Members of a friends groups would offer their time and support for community activities on the estate.

I am not asking for any commitment at this stage, but if you want to find out more or if you have any suggestions on what you think a friends group could do, email me.

Some suggestions are listed below, note that anything suggested would need to be agreed with Bristol Council's Ashton Court Estate Office.

• Improve public access to the mansion. Perhaps assisting in taking small groups around the mansion or specific areas of the estate.
• Raise funding for school visits to Ashton Court.
• Promote the smaller community events that occur at the estate - deer walks and the ghost walk for example.
• Share information on the Smyth family history and the history of the estate.
