The balloon fiesta and kite festival pages cover the free major events that occur in Ashton Court. Note that while entry is free there are parking charges at these large events.

Bristol Kite Festival

In one way the Kite Festival is the opposite of the Balloon Fiesta in that it thrives in windy conditions. Set on the plateau at the top of the estate in late August or early September in often gets windy conditions too!

Bristol International Kite Festival runs for two days on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of September in 2009.

Its a popular event but simply not on the same scale as the Balloon Fiesta. If the sheer scale of the Balloon Fiesta puts you off this may be one for you.
